The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) was developed to ensure workers have the information they need to identify hazardous materials and work with them in a safe manner. In the past, if your employer required that you have WHMIS certification, you had to take time off work to attend a classroom session. But now you have an alternative — the Leduc Safety Service On-line WHMIS course, which:
  • presents the same information as the classroom version;
  • is self-paced, so you're not tied to the rate at which other people learn;
  • contains practice scenarios, so you can evaluate your knowledge of WHMIS and attitude toward safety;
  • contains self-tests, which you can take as often as you like, until you're confident you know the material.
Best of all, it can be taken whenever you want, from wherever you happen to be. Upon successful completion of the course, which requires a mark of 70% or higher, you will be able to print out a temporary certificate. You will receive your permanent certificate and a WHMIS booklet by mail within two weeks.

The course must be completed in a single session; the system does not allow you to log out and then log back in.

High speed internet connection is recomended.
