Collision Investigation TrainingDuration: 8 hours
Certification: Leduc Safety Service
Work related vehicle collisions account for half of all workplace fatalities
and are the most costly and injurious type of incident experienced by employers.
Supervisors and safety officers need to be aware of the unique demands required
of a collision investigation.
Employers may feel that collision investigations are police responsibility,
however, the reality is the police are responding to fewer and fewer collisions,
and employers need to conduct their own investigation to address:
* injury prevention,
* liability issues,
* measuring compliance with policy and procedures,
* determining work relatedness,
* legislated reporting required by WCB and OHS Acts, and to
* control costs.
